[INDOLOGY] Ravi as name of the sun

Dear list members,
ravi is listed as one of the 108 names of the sun in the Mahabharata āraṇyaka
parvan 3.3.17. Can someone tell me what "ravi" means other than just "a
name of the sun". Is it related to "rava" .
