Kr(i)tikartr/krtikartaa 's relationship with krtibhartr /krtibhartaa
through krti

has variously been described

including as that of a father-in-law  and son -in -law

krti being metaphorically referred to as kanyaa , the bride

dedication of the book metaphorically referred to as kanyaadaana .

Books are listed among Sapta Santaana seven offsprings, alongside actual
human offspring,  tank constructed by oneself , temple built by oneself ,
living facilities for the Brahmins provided by oneself,  garden raised by
oneself,  , treasure of wealth developed by oneself .
