Dear Colleagues,

I have just received the sad news that the Indologist and Tibetologist  
Helmut Eimer passed away on 24 February 2023 at the age of 86. We have  
lost not only the pioneer of the study of the history and textual  
tradition of the Tibetan Kanjur, but also an always helpful and  
amiable teacher and colleague.
