Dear colleagues,

I am happy to report that there indeed exists a privately printed biography of Benfey by his daughter, of considerably greater magnitude and import than the introduction in his Kleine Schriften in that it features extensive correspondence. Our colleague Anett Krause has discovered a copy of it in the library of the University of Leipzig. It is now digitized and available.
