[INDOLOGY] A distraction from the Coronavirus

A forest scene:

दिष्ट्याहं मानवाद्दूरं  तिर्यग्योनौ वसन्सुखम् ।
कोरोनयास्म्यसंक्रान्तस्  तद्ब्रुवन्नहसच्छुकः ॥

विहङ्गवाचस्त्वशृणोद्वनस्थः
समाजदूरीकरणं निषेव्य ।
पर्यङ्कमाभुज्य च सो ऽनुमेने
तथास्ति हेयः स मनुष्यलोकः ॥

“Fortunately I am far from any human being living happily in the animal 
realm,
not infected by Corona,” the parakeet said and laughed.

A forest hermit heard the bird’s words.
Practicing social distancing
and sitting cross-legged he agreed:
“Yes, the world of mortals must be abandoned.”
