[INDOLOGY] śastyayana

Dear List,

I am trying to find information on a ‘śastyayana’ ceremony. I have come
across a reference to this in something I am reading from the 18th century
(Bengal). I am not able to find any information about this ceremony,
however.

Might someone be able to suggest where to look?
