Dear List,
Two unclear terms: am not sure of their meaning
1st, sanskrit: *yakṣi *
(*yakṣi* oṃuṃsvāhājāpī vidyayaṃ gāruḍī parā /
garuḍoktaṃ gāruḍaṃ hi śṛṇu rudra ! madātmakam // GarP_1,2.59 //
2nd, pali: *vāḷasaṅghāṭayanta*
appearing in *Sumangalavilasini,* Buddhaghosa's commentary to
*Mahaparinibbanasutta*:
Sakko deva-rājā Vissakammaṁ āmantetvā: ‘Tāta Ajātasattunā dhātu-nidhānikaṁ
kataṁ, ettha ārakkhaṁ ṭhapehī ’ti pahiṇi. So āgantvā *vāḷa–saṅghāṭa–yantaṁ*
yojesi. Kaṭṭha–rūpakāni tasmiṁ dhātu–gabbhe phaḷika–vaṇṇa–khagge gahetvā,
vata–sadisena Vegeta anupariyantaṁ yantaṁ yojetvā […]
