Here are some references from Pali Buddhist canons. 93rd, Assalāyana sutta
and 98th, Vāseṭṭha sutta in Majjhimanikāya describe the the Buddha's
attitude towards the cast system, 'all are the same by birth and differ by
their deeds'.
