------ There are several different occasions during the Vedic marriage when
bride and bride groom are made to take oath.

One of the most well known, popular oft-quoted is :

Bride's father : dharma cha Arthe cha kame chaishaa naaticharitavyaa

Bridegroom:

Naaticharaami.
