The following might help.
The Western Kadambas called themselves Hāritīputras.  The Purāṇas seem to know them as kṣatropetā
dvijātayaḥ. See ‘Introduction’ AVP II Skt College edn, Calcutta 1970, partially
repeated in 2011 (AVP III Asiatic Society edn).
