The Department of Religious Studies at the University of Pennsylvania
invites applications for an open-rank tenured or tenure-track post in
Buddhist Studies. Areas of geographical and historical specialization are
open. Qualified candidates must have demonstrable excellence in their field
of specialization as well as the ability to teach and supervise graduate
students doing work in primary languages of Buddhist scholarship. A
commitment to undergraduate teaching is essential. Applications will be
reviewed starting November 5, 2007.
