There are two lecturer positions open at The University of Texas at Austin.

****Lecturer in Hindi****

The University of Texas at Austin Department of Asian Studies is recruiting
for a position of Lecturer in Hindi, beginning in Fall 2002.  The lecturer
will be responsible for teaching first and second-year Hindi . The candidate
should have a Ph.D. with a concentration in Hindi, and native or near-native
fluency in Hindi.   Teaching experience in Hindi and training in language
pedagogy will be an advantage.  Please send an application, including a
curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation mailed directly by the
referees, a statement of teaching interests and copies of student
evaluations and other evidence of teaching excellence to: Hindi Search
Committee, Department of Asian Studies, WCH 4.134, Austin, TX 78712.  Salary
will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The closing date
for applications is March 15, 2002.
