[Martin Bemmann]

I forwarded that query to my colleague Ditte Bandini.
An article by her discussing this subject will appear in the next number
of: "Studien zur Indologie und Iranistik".
She claims that saarasa is not specific enough to identify a certain
kind of bird, since it matches to any bird living in the swamps.
