The South Asian Studies Committee at the Yale Center for International and
Area Studies is pleased to announce the availability of a visiting faculty
position at Yale University for the period July, 2001-June, 2002 to teach
courses on South Asia.  The Committee is especially interested in
considering scholars who can teach in the social sciences or related
fields.

We are accepting applications from individuals in the U.S. and abroad who
hold the Ph.D. or will have completed it by August of 2001.

Please include the following with your application:

À Cover letter;
À A one-page description of your teaching interests;
À Two letters of recommendation;
À An up-to-date CV

Applications must be received by January 8, 2001  All information will be
accepted electronically at the e-mail address below; however, please note
that letters of recommendation may be sent electronically as a preliminary
step, but hard copies must be received through the mail or fax.
