Another perspective would be to see Rajaram as of a piece with the resurgence
of Christian, Jewish, and Islamic fundamentalism around the world in reaction
to modernity/science/globalization.

The question is, is this a temporary phenomenon, the proverbial last gasp? Or
will rationality soon be gasping?
