Ganesa, I have seen Lingodbhavas and Daksinamurtis in Nolambavadi (outside of Tamilnadu) during Nolamba period (mostly 10th c). Lots of Natesas too, though not exactly in the manner popular during the Cola period. Andrew Cohen
