DARTMOUTH COLLEGE, Department of Religion, invites applications for a
tenure-track appointment in INDIC RELIGIONS (including South Asian
Buddhism) at the Assistant Professor level beginning Fall, 1999.
Qualifications include recent or near completion of Ph.D. and demonstrated
teaching abilities.  Linguistic competence and training in approaches and
methods in the Study of Religion are essential. Courses to be taught will
include a team-taught Introduction to the Study of Religion, and
Introduction to Hinduism and an Introduction to South Asian Buddhism.
