Namboothiris

The Konkanastha Brahmans of Maharashtra link their arrival in the area to
Parashuraama, who is still worshipped in the temple dedicated to him in
the Konkan town of Chiplun.  The Nambudris also connect their arrival in
Kerala to Parashuraama.
