Perhaps one of the passages John Dunne was thinking of is the commentary
(v.rtti) to Jnaanagarbha's Satyadvayavibhang-kaarikaa 3. This states, in a
discussion of the two truths (what else did you think that text would talk
about?) that the conventional truth is ascertained conventionally according
to the experience of ordinary people, including female cowherds and so on.
