Accepted dates of Vedic and related texts

Two reliable resources I've found of great use are the following
publications. The former illustrates fundamental principles and strata of
the literature, the latter gives a detailed chronology based upon
extensive linguistic analysis.

J. Narten Das altindische Verb in der Sprachwissenschaft, Sprache 14,

Michael Witzel, "Tracing the Vedic Dialects," "Dialectes dans les
Littratures Indo Aryennes, Colette Caillat, ed., (Paris: Institute de
Civilisation Indienne, 1989).

Best wishes,

It is ludicrous to consider language as anything other
than that of which it is the transformation.
