  As far as I understand, the various Tantric traditions, to name
one, abound with such concepts... the description  of the Goddess as 
                  
                mAtrkArNa svarUpiNI
                a-ka-ca-Ta-ta-pAdi varNe
                ekAkSarI etc. or using bIjAkSara are examples of
this.
