NEW POSITION IN ASIAN AMERICAN STUDIES
UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA

The School of Arts and Sciences, University of Pennsylvania, invites
applications for a position in Asian American Studies at the junior 
or senior level. Candidates with disciplinary specializations in 
any of the humanities or social sciences are encouraged to apply.
The search is conducted by an interdisciplinary committee. We seek 
a candidate accomplished in one discipline who can think, write, 
teach, and collaborate across disciplines and contribute to the 
building of an interdisciplinary program in Asian American Studies. 
The appointment will be effective on July 1, 1994. Applicants should
