Apparently Von Schroeder asserts that Sri Lankan moonstones were used in some sort of footbathing ritual, but does not support this claim with any references or citations. Does anyone on this list have any information or pointers to other sources of information that might have a bearing on this question? Many thanks for your assistance. You may reply to the list if you think your answer warrants, or simply reply directly to me (magier at columbia.edu) or to Frank Hoffman (fhoffman at wcu.bitnet). thanks. -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ ____________________________ 304 International Affairs /// -- David Magier -- \\\ Columbia University ||| Head, AREA STUDIES ||| New York, N.Y. 10027 ||| S&SE Asia, Latin America, ||| (212) 854-8046 / FAX: 212 854-2495 \\\ Mid-East, Slavic, Africa /// --------------------------- magier at columbia.edu From tasi at EDU.UCHICAGO.MIDWAY Tue Oct 20 03:25:06 1992 From: tasi at EDU.UCHICAGO.MIDWAY (tasi at EDU.UCHICAGO.MIDWAY) Date: Mon, 19 Oct 92 22:25:06 -0500 Subject: Sanskrit Studies Position, U. of Chicago Message-ID: <161227015521.23782.3429180287805985322.generated@prod2.harmonylists.io> Status: RO I would be very grateful if colleagues could pass on the following announcement to interested parties.
